New Bowden Manufacturing Website Now Live

Bowden Manufacturing is different from other machining companies, but we don’t just want to tell you that. We want to show you how — with this new website we designed, wrote and developed for them.

The new website needed to balance technical information and key functionalities with a sense of Bowden’s unique company culture, the root of Bowden’s exceptional customer service.

So we designed a clean look and a user-friendly structure, wrote copy to highlight Bowden’s values as well as the technical facts, and added a few more personal touches:

Video
Video is often a great way to bring a website to life. Search engines like it, too. In this case, because Bowden’s people define the Bowden brand, video was especially fitting. We embraced its power to engage viewers by letting real employees do the talking on the home page.

Flash Elements
While video on every page would be overkill, we still wanted the whole site to be dynamic and focused on people. The solution? Strategic use of Adobe Flash technology. Moving images of employees and phrases that reinforce Bowden’s brand now bring the company’s people and values to life on each remaining page.

Employee Photos
Not only do the moving elements of Bowden’s website feature real people; still images of employees at work add yet another personal element throughout the site. Pictures can add interest to almost any site, but the key is the subject matter. Here, it’s not so much about the machines as it is about the human beings using them.

These tactics worked well as part of Bowden’s overall strategy. Maybe similar concepts could work for you — or maybe you need something entirely different.
